How This Beer Club Works

The U.S. and International Variety Beer Club states that they offer their members “the most variety” of any beer club. Whereas the Original Craft Beer Club sends you the finest American craft beers, the International Variety Beer Club adds a few international, imported brews to the mix. These imported craft beers reflect the best overseas independent breweries have to offer.

Once you sign up, you’ll receive twelve, 12 ounce craft beers. The shipment will contain hand-crafted beer from high quality, U.S. craft breweries as well as international import craft beers, four different styles with three bottles of each style. You’ll also receive a copy of their monthly newsletter, “Malt of the Earth” which carries in it tasting notes and information on the breweries and beers. For your added enjoyment, it also includes information on foods which go well with each beer. All memberships with 3 or more shipments will get a free bartenders bottle opener.

Once you decide to take advantage of their craft beer options, customizing your membership is a snap! First, you have the option to select whether the membership is to be a gift or for your own enjoyment. You can select to have a delivery monthly, every other month or every 3 months. Finally, you can select the number of shipments to include. For instance, 2 shipments would be $99.90, 3 shipments, $149.85 and so on.

How Beers Are Curated Each Month

Once you receive your first shipment, you’ll be amazed at the variety, and enjoy the different flavors from both American craft breweries as well as overseas brands. These crisp, delicious and unique beers emerge from craft microbreweries in the U.S., as well as centuries old breweries in England, Belgium and Germany. Indeed, there are brews that you’ll not find in your local liquor stores. With so much variety, it’s only natural to be curious as to how the U.S. International Beer Club selects them. Each beer is chosen by hand, using their highly selective, 5 point process, with each point assessed by quality.

Panel of Experienced Brew masters

The U.S. International Beer Club uses a panel of well seasoned, expert brew masters. All tolled, these brew masters have a total of over 100 years of experience between them in the professional brewery business.

How Beers are Rated
These panelists taste over 500 beers per year. Each beer is judged based on the quality of their appearance, body, mouthfeel, finish, appeal, flavor and aroma. Out of these hundreds of brews, only around 20 percent will ever see a shipment.

We Go to Where the Beers Are
In order to find the best, cold brew for you, we attend beer festivals, collaborate with breweries, and exchange thoughts and ideas with indie breweries as well as beer importers. But by far the most important aspect of all these activities, is to taste and select the perfect craft brew for your shipment.

Maintaining Productive Relationships with brewers and importers
This beer club has consistently cultivated and maintained and excellent repertoire with importers and breweries alike and have been doing it for over 20 years. This means that indie breweries feel confident in brewing craft beers just for you, the club member. These are exclusive craft beers that you won’t find anywhere else.

Enjoy Seasonal Beers All Year Long
As you can see, you’ll never receive a boring shipment. In fact, the U.S. International Beer Club actually includes limited production, seasonal beers. A seasonal beer is one which is made once a year, and only in small amounts.
